Because equestrian pursuits are so unique, effective mental performance
coaching for equestrians mandates specialization. Dr. Arnold is
that specialist. Working solely with equestrians, she knows the
intricacies of this distinctive sport. What makes equestrians
thrive is a mystery to those outside of the horse world, but like
you, Dr. Arnold understands everything from the countless hours
of training followed by even more hours of horse care, the degree
of commitment needed, impact on other life areas, showing challenges
to why the smell of horses is more pleasurable than the scent
of perfume.
Dr. Arnold started riding when she was just five years old. It
wasn’t long before she was in the show ring. With exceptional
training from Phyllis Farland, she road her horse, Bold Headlines,
to the Zone III Small Junior Hunter Horse of the Year title. She
won numerous Medal and Meclay equitation classes qualifying for
finals, and competed at Devon, the Pennsylvania National Horse
Show and the Washington International Horse Show. She knows first
hand the pleasures, heartbreaks and challenges of competing on
the AA circuit.
After the junior ranks, she went on to college and graduate school
earning a Ph.D. in Counselor Education. She is a sought after
motivational speaker on issues of team building, leadership, communication
and multiculturalism. Dr. Arnold was a psychotherapist in private
practice for five years before coming back to her greatest love,
horses. She has a contagious spirit for helping riders of all
levels reach their dreams. Her equestrian experience combined
with her advanced education makes her the person who can take
you to the next level.
